The Head of the Catholic Church, Pope Benedict XVI, today tweeted his very first message on his official handle @Pontifex.
Pope Benedict XVI told his current 680, 000 followers that: “Dear Friends, I am pleased to get in touch with you through Twitter. Thank you for your generous response. I bless all of you from my heart”.
The Vatican had last month revealed that the Pope would start using the social medium on December 12, 2012.
